US Passport Renewal

Has anyone renewed their passport recently?  How long did it actually take to get it back in the mail?  I read about the 15 business day turnaround on the US Embassy website, but I was wondering if that number is accurate.

I just mailed mine in yesterday, but I'm going to Switzerland on July 28th and am worried that I won't get my new passport in time.

i just got my passport renewed thru the us embassy in london, as long as you have the correct size pic you should have it back well in time i had mine in about 3 weeks (they didnt like the original pic size so i had to send a new pic)
i would say there timeline of 2 weeks is about right

If you clearly marked down your travel you should be fine.

If you didn't send anything or put on the form anything about your travel, please contact the embassy.

I had mine renewed through the London Embassy by mail back in late April, it took two weeks before I got my new passport back through the mail.
