Has anyone seen the new PPI advert where people are in a grocery store and out of the blue they are being yelled at by a robotic Arnold Schwarzenegger head and told to "DO IT NOW!" It's meant to get you to check for PPI before the deadline.

Yes - it is as bizarre as it sounds and really, really awful.

Yesterday I saw a teaser headline on BBC News website about "Arnie wants you to check PPI" or something like that, and it made virtually no sense to me, so I didn't click on it.  But your comment made me go back and take a look...

Edited to add: The article does not contain the advert.  It just explains why the advert exists.  Basically.

If you actually wanted to see the ad, I found it here: Watch at your own risk, haha! (Well at least I find it a bit...off-putting!)

...I watched.  It's not at all clear for the first 45 seconds of the 1-minute advert what it is they want to tell us.  And it's creepy.  And even when he says "PPI" for the first time, his accent makes it difficult.  In short, I regret watching it.  I'm not really informed.  Just annoyed.

Just annoyed.

Me too, it's just an obscene waste of money.

Saw it last night. I was doing something else when I heard the ex-Governator's voice and started watching. If the purpose was to have something stick in your memory, the advert was successful.

Personally, I much prefer the dancing Skeletor commercials.  ;)

Apologies jfkimberly! I did try to warn everyone! This is precisely why I posted it as an advert I hate  ;D

No, you're fine.  You did everything you could to save us from ourselves.  But I'm that person who touches a thing to see if the paint really is wet, or the surface really is hot.  Y'know?
