10 random tracks....
« on: March 02, 2006, 12:46:32 PM »
Sometimes I worry about my music choices.  I mean, if I were mowed down by a bus whilst crossing the street and someone picked up my ipod to see what I was listening to at the time of the accident, they'd get a really odd impression of my personality.  To attest to this, I performed a little experiment....just put it on shuffle and have listed the first 10 tracks that played.

Key West Intermezzo -- John Mellencamp
Close Your Eyes -- Jump, Little Children
Didn't Mean to Turn You On -- Power Station/Robert Palmer
Flying High -- The Commodores
Radar Love -- Golden Earring
Ordinary People -- John Legend
She Loves You -- The Beatles
Amsterdam -- Coldplay
In Your Eyes -- Peter Gabriel
As I'm Leaving -- David Gray

What are your first 10 random tracks?  :)

THAT is hysterical.  Me too; though I don't worry anymore... I accept I'm a pop geek.
And I'd hope they'd call 999 before taking the time to nose through my iPod  >:(
If I were run down, they would pick up my iPod and see:

Valley Girl - Frank & Moon Zappa
Austin - a gorgeous country ballad done by my friend at her cabaret show
If I Had No Loot - Toni! Toni! Toné!
Sir Duke - Stevie Wonder
The First Time - Adam Faith
Sweet City Woman - The Stampeders
Hair of the Dog - Nazareth
Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung
Billie, Don't Be a Hero - Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods
A Little Less Conversation - Elvis vs. JXL
Hollywood, CA -> London, UK 2004
London, UK -> Long Beach, CA 2007

Best 3 1/2 years of my life!

Ooh, GREAT idea, Lola. The Ipod is at home charging, so I'll do this tomorrow and report back! The only problem is that mine might mix with dh's - so I reserve the right to skip tracks that I didn't put on there myself!!!

I'm almost afraid to find out.....

Surf Wax America - Weezer
Because We Can - Fatboy Slim
I'll Wear It Proudly - Elvis Costello
Something To Do - Depeche Mode
In The Name Of Love - Thompson Twins
Rolling O - They Might Be Giants
Fiddle About - The Who
(theme from) Happy Days
House Of Fun - Madness
East Bound And Down - Jerry Reed

Cheesy (and slightly embarrassing) TV theme aside, it wasn't too bad. :)

Fine... as long as we're all coming clean...

I HAVE THE ENTIRE CD OF TV'S GREATEST HITS ON MY IPOD.  YES, YES I DO.

FROM SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS (Hey Hey Hey, it's FAAAAAAAT Albert...), TO 80'S SITCOMS (You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life).  AND NIGHT TIME SOAPS AND DRAMAS (just pick one ;) ).

*sigh*
I feel so much better now.

(don't even bring up old commercials)

Have I mentioned that I love you?  No, really... I love you.

I have an entire playlist of TV music.  From Moonlighting to The Dick Van Dyke Show ... Love American Style to L.A. Law.  I've got 'em all.  I'll even admit that I've got three entire albums (I'm talkin' vinyl here) of TV themes that someday I'll get around to downloading onto my computer as well. :)

HOWEVER... (drum roll please)
Does one of them contain the theme from Gidget?!?!?!

Finally....some ladies after my own heart.  Yes I am of this same species.  I LOVE the Moonlighting soundtrack!  I used to wish I was Cybill Shepherd singing that version of 'Blue Moon'....
