Had to shorten the title because it was too long!  Ack!
NIBLDS - National Institute for Building Long Distance Relationships.

I found one of their websites quite by chance and thought I would share:-

http://www.fambooks.com/couples.htm

Gives some good ideas for bridging the distance a bit.  They also have sites for long distance moms and dads and grandparents.  A lot of the information ends up repeating itself and some of the ideas can be adapted one way or the other.  Just thought I'd pass it along as it may provide something good for those enduring the distance!

One of the things we sent my mother for Christmas was a book on how to be a long-distance Grandmother.  Not really even in the interest of my kids - who are over 4,000 miles away - because she seems to have that down.  But to help her with my brother's new baby born in October, because he's about 4 hours away and she'll never be able to be as *close* to him as she is to my sons.  So I'll send her the link to the grandparents section on this, as well.

Thanks!
