I am not a doctor.

I'll order a squirty thing on Amazon and see how I get on.  Just for you Jimbo.  Well, and on the off chance I can save £60.  And be able to hear.  Order placed.

Oh God, you are going to jam that thing through your ear drum and not be able to start your new job and post about it every day....

Be careful, you don’t want to perforate an ear drum!

I know!  Which is why I was moaning about the £60 but willing to spend it.  But if Jimbo says I can do it myself....   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Actually, that's what scared me into booking the appointment finally.  I've definitely started to dig a little too far with the Q-tips.   ::)

Old Farmer's Almanac recommends warm olive oil drops.

Personally, having seen how olive oil residue gets after sitting for a few days, I can't imagine what it would do to the inside of one's ear, but that is what it says..... ::)

3.  Latest news is that the dbs check has finished according to an email from my husband's potential employer, but the online status of his application does not have any update... still waiting.

We have news!  Today we received email saying the DBS checks have completed satisfactorily and the online tracker reflects this, and he will be contacted soon to sort out a start date!  Now we are to the end of our holiday week, so food stores are getting low... we will cook up the last of our crepe batter, then go to a shop to buy celebration dinner noms.  Yay!
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued

8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!

HOLY MOTHER!!!!!!    I just spent 10 minutes blasting away at my ear and was definitely rewarded with a prize.  £60 saved!!!!!!!!!!!

The Eustachian tube in my left ear is still blocked but I can hear out of my right ear for the first time in a couple of months.... and it's no wonder why.  I will spare you all and not attach a photo!!!!

All hail Jimbo!

Fantastic! So happy to hear for you guys!!
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

That's excellent news!  Isn't it bizarre how you can hear high pitched sound again?  Can you hear KIMBERLEY'S mouse?

Loving the "Hail Jimbo".  I'm ready to start giving visa advice now.
