Seriously check for hidden daggers or dart-shooters.  There must be some explanation for it.

Nope, I've enquired.  LOL!

My husband told me when I got citizenship he had a gift idea but that he didn't have it yet.  I got my gift yesterday after a six week wait.  Ready for it?  An umbrella.  A bog standard black umbrella.  I appreciate the thought and gesture but WTH did I wait six weeks?   ;)

An idea...but he couldn't be bothered shopping.... So it sat on his 'To-Do' list and time ticked away.....  And then he went, 'Oh she's going back to work ,so I better get her this now'.......
I do like the sentiment of a black brolly for a citizenship gift. Very Mary Poppins.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

Give the guy some slack, it's a joke.  Like you'll fit in now that you have an umbrella like everyone else.  He's officially welcoming you to the tribe, you should be honoured.

See, that went right over my head... what is wrong with me?

Oh yes... impending visa application, that's what!  ;D

1.  NO!!! to pineapple on pizza!
2.  drinking red wine at an alarming speed, to try to forget a shite day at work.
3.  the only thing that didn't completely suck about today, was that we found out that our pay deal has been voted in by the union members.  An extra £100/month net will soon be mine-all-mine!!
4.  Does the new series of Gogglebox start tonight?  I hope so...
5.  I'm hungry and there's no food.  Hopefully OH will bring some on his way back from Lochgilphead tonight.

I don't find it trashy at all (so you might not like it!  ;) ).
It's just people watching TV and discussing it amongst themselves... sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes brilliant observations.  That's all there is to it!

As I discovered last night, the new series starts on Friday 23rd.  :)

The forecast was true, and celebratory pizza was go!  We made a Hawaiian (with some fresh basil thrown in for colour), and an "angry" calzone: diced tomatoes, chopped jalapenos, fresh mozzarella, a drizzle of sriracha, with sauce.  Celebrations are on-going.  Yay!

A cheap bottle of Australian shiraz.  And some Coke because my boozed-up Frangelico and Disaronno coffee from earlier was wearing off and I needed more caffeine.

Those pizzas are looking good, Pineapples or not.

According to my husband, the dough on the calzone could've been stretched thinner.  I liked it (because I had extra sauce to dip it into, so it was like bonus breadsticks), but my husband found it too bready.  He likes "proper Italian" thin crust, though.  He didn't grow up in America with our thick bases and indulgent toppings.

But the pizza was sufficiently thin and crispy for him, and the calzone was perfect for me.  We were both pleased.

1.  Survived the first week at the new job (well, mostly).  This week has felt like it has lasted about a year and a half....

2.  The baby has had a fever since the weekend...  my husband has had to be off work a huge amount this week as a result.  Trial by fire!

3.  His work isn't overly understanding.  They seem to think the mom is the only one who can stay at home.  I'm annoyed.  He's been there 15 years this month.  He's not taking the piss.  He has an unwell child.  In a few months, we'll be able to take it in turns staying at home when kids are unwell.  But they need to get over themselves for a little bit.

4.  Mommy guilt is hard.

5.  I LOVE being back at work!!!
