Passed my driving test - now need INSURANCE advice

hi all,
passed my test last week and am now getting ridiculously expensive quotes for insurance - any advice or recommendations?

i had no claims on my US driving insurance (when i had some, years ago...)

Hi Cacurran....this is right down my husband's alley.  He is an Insurance Broker (soon to be retired - YEAH!!)  If you will IM me with your requirements, I will pass along the info to him.   Not sure it will help or not ....bkz I really didnt get involved too much when he put me on the insurance when I moved over.  Maybe he could atleast provide you with some resources.

I went with Asda insurance this year as they accepted my 10 years of previous driving experience in the US and I got a much cheaper deal.

Spoke to Steve and as we have personal experience it is definitely difficult for a newly arriving (test passing) non-UK citizen to get a reasonable figure....believe us we know we have spent the pounds....(I'll have Steve email you directly with some information).
