1 Month UK employment during 2003
« on: March 23, 2004, 01:16:24 PM »
Hi Helen,

I only worked during December of 2003 in the UK and then only about 2 1/2 wks do you think it's worth it claiming the exclusion or credit for so little time? I had a look at form 2555 and it seems overly complicated for the breif time I was working during the tax year. Would it be easier to just convert my earnings on my 1040 form and leave it at that?

I am also not sure what to do about State Tax Filing do you have to fill out an exclusion and credit form for your state (NY in my case) if you decide to go that route?

Thanks!
