Also, someone told me they keep all of their phone calls on recored, so I can provide the Public Enquiries Office with the time and date of my phone call and they can hear that one of their employees did tell me to apply in Oct, not in Jan. Has anyone heard about that?

I VERY much doubt this is possible.  They have a hard enough time keeping track of letters, let alone phone calls!

the company I work for has every single call recorded from the past few years. They store all the older ones in a zip file to save space. and the recent ones on a software programme. So I wouldnt be surprised if they have the same

This is the Home Office, not a professional organisation.

Just an update--

I just received all of the documents back along with my passport and have been granted ILR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a huge relief!! I am so grateful that I don't have to go through the entire process again!! I am incredibly surprised that I was granted it and then it happened so quickly after my initial refusal, but something made them change their minds. I'm not about to start asking questions though!!   :)

Happy Day!!
