It's me again,

Do I have to fill out the SU07/01 Sponsorship Undertaking form if my spouse is submitting the same infomation on the VAF4 settlement form?

And what is the difference between certified and notarized?

Should we get the deeds of the house certified over in the UK or can we get them notarized over in the US before we submit the application fomrs???

If applying from the US the sponsorship undertaking form is not necessary.

Certified can be done by a solicitor, notarise by a notary.  Certification usually cheaper, both are perfectly valid.

Supporting docs can be certified/notorised in either country.

Hi there,

Thanks for the info. We just wanted to know whether our application would be rejected if the deeds of the house in the UK, where we will be staying, are notarized/certified in the USA.

We're looking for "cheaper the better" prices as we're on a budget (who isn't these days???).
