It's been almost a month for me, I have not heard a single thing.  No correspondence letters from them at all.  I filed a UKM should I just keep waiting?

Hello all. I've recently applied for citizenship by descent using form UKM.  With my form I sent my original birth certificate and current US passport, my mother's original birth certificate and her expired UK passport, and a copy of the marriage certificate of my parents.  I also included the credit card payment form for the 80 fee.  I've requested the ceremony be in New York.  I'm not in a rush, and know this could take 6 months, but does anyone know if the documents will be returned to me at the ceremony?  Or, is there another form I should send to get my documents back?  Any information would be much appreciated.

My Timeline:
3/27/13 Mailed form UKM and documents from New York to Liverpool using USPS Priority Mail

Hmmm, this is actually making me worry about my application. I submitted it via the NCS just after Easter (well, actually before, but that's how long it took to be processed), and I've only received confirmation that they've withdrawn funds. I travel a LOT so that part will be an ordeal for them to review, but otherwise everything should be really straightforward. The letter and the website say to wait six months...but it sounds like it's going a lot faster for others of us who submitted around the same time. Fingers crossed...

Has anyone else had this problem with Southwark Council?  The system that they use to book people into the ceremonies (and presumably check with UKBA/let UKBA know you have booked, etc.) has been down since Wednesday!  I am soo excited to have my ceremony and because they have four ceremonies a week, I they told me there is hardly any wait time...but only once their IT people sort out the system!!!  Now I have to wait until Monday to try again  ???

I got my citizenship approval yesterday. It was SUPER QUICK. I had my NCS appointment on 2 May here in Southampton, the acknowledgement letter 2 weeks later, the decision later was dated 25 May and I received it yesterday. I'm going to call the registry office on Monday to arrange a date for the ceremony. :)
