What food are you craving right now?

Does it look or smell smoked? It would be brown on the outside and have an obvious smokey smell.

No, but it was the only slab in the case which had a label saying 'boczek', so it didn't occur to me to ask.

Nevermind, I made a lovely sticky, spicy roasted pork belly last night... and i'll know what to ask for next time!

A grilled brat that has simmered in an onion and beer bath (Miller, natch) on a buttered hard roll with mustard and some Jays ridged potato chips on the side.

What exactly is a patty melt?  I'm guessing burger and cheese....

Definitely like a cheeseburger, but on bread and all squashed together. So it's like a grilled cheese with a burger in it.

I've had tuna melts so was assuming it was probably the same with just a burger instead of tuna. is there like LOADS of cheese in it then?? As my tuna melts never had loads of cheese or anything.

Yeah, usually a fair bit of melted cheese. Swiss. Lots of onions too.  And usually rye bread, but I've had other types of bread too. 

That all sounds pretty good.

Tomorrow at work is Neaps and Tatties and stovie day again.  Is there something happening again up there?

Burns Night!! 

Oh man, I should have known that. It's the biggie. I'd like to go out and have a proper burns night pub meal but current rules say we can only eat out once per week on the weekend.
