It's not a food, but I was craving a nice salty margarita yesterday. Alas, no such thing appeared.

I was dreaming of a strawberry margarita yesterday!  None appeared at my house either.   :\\\'(

Hmm.  Now I realize I will require a blender.  I forgot about frozen strawberry margaritas.  I will have to teach my husband about them.  I assume he will approve.

He has no soul if he doesn't.  ;)

I have been craving a salty, boardwalk-style pretzel. Off to city center in a bit, as there's a pretzel shop in by John Lewis. Not the same, by any means, but I can pretend. (And it's not bad.)   8)

Not boardwalk style, but we do have an Auntie Annies here, which I hadn't expected to see when I first moved here haha

Exactly!  :)

Good luck on your pretzel quest.

I don't know if I know what a boardwalk pretzel is, but I miss Auntie Anne's, or whatever that chain in the mall was called.  I loved to get a plain pretzel (no salt), dipped in butter, and a little pot of marinara sauce.

Yes, them!  Gawd, I miss them!  I wonder if there's one in Swansea.  I'd make that drive when I get a car.

Not sure how big of a chain it is here. We have one in Reading in the Oracle. Outside of that, I can't say. Obviously the selection varies slightly compared with what you could get in the US, but they did have cheese pretzel hot dog things the last time I looked when walking by hah

The Pretzel was nice. Not what I was looking for, but nice anyway.

And now.... I want a carnitas burrito the size of my forearm from my favorite taco shop that was on Miramar Road, just north of MCAS Miramar in San Diego. (Sigh).

That was a ~really~ good taco shop.

Yesterday was our anniversary. We've now officially been here for a full year.  ;D

And, since I haven't found work, it's time to go ahead and file for social security. All my training and credentials are for working in government or academia. The security clearances I'd need for government would require at least another two year wait, and that's too long. So, time to completely retire.

Happy retirement Nan!

I am craving bubble tea and sushi. There was a place that served both back home and opened a few months before I moved, we ate there pretty often. My friends still go and share photos, and I miss it and them.

I'm craving KFC chicken gravy...

They sell gravy now (don't remember them doing so a year or more ago) but I find it confusing as they don't serve gravy or mash!

Yeah, I think the gravy thing is kind of new, but it is delicious!  Ridiculous that they don't sell mash as well.  My craving involved just drinking the gravy, or eating it by the spoonful.  :-X

Gonna need to go to KFC when I get a car, then... There's one near me!  This is one of the when-I-get-a-car things that I can actually do easily!  Chicken strips and gravy!  Fill-in-the-blank and gravy!  GRAVY!
