Hello from Sweden!
« on: January 05, 2003, 08:34:31 PM »
I'm an American, living in Sweden, thinking about moving to England for those lower taxes! Hahaha!

I'm curious, I see I'm called Newbie, and others are called a variety of other stuff, it doesn't seem to be number of posts related, so I am guessing it is time as a member of the site related. What are the different times and the names to go with them?

Is there somewhere I can go on the site for info like this? I've looked around but haven't quite figured it out yet.

Thanks for the help!

hello 15!  hows about telling us a little about yourself... what does the 15 represent?  and what took you to sweden... are you working, married, children?  curious minds here.

the newbie does represent number of posts...  and I am not positive of the newer descriptions or amounts when it gets changed.

The 15 doesn't really represent anything, I get frustrated when trying names to find they are taken, and this doesn't happen so much with numbers. Some might say it is my IQ though. It is only 2 digits so it is quick and easy to enter in name boxes.

I live with my Swedish girlfriend and we have an 8 month old son. I work at Ericsson but have been told that my job will evaporate some time in the upcoming year. I have been here since 1998. Before that I lived for 22 years in Southern California. Mostly San Diego. I work as an equipment engineer, and before that spent many years as a field service engineer. I am a chocoholic.

Anything else? Just ask! :)

LOL, Ok 15...  Welcome to the site...  sorry about possible job reduction and good luck with move... where ever you decide to choose.

Thanks! I was thinking about finding work in England just because as a dual citizen, US/Swedish, I can work anywhere in Europe. The idea of being back in an English speaking country has a great appeal to me. My girlfriend has two kids from a previous relationship, and in England they wouldn't be too far from their father.
