From New Jersey to Wiltshire...
« on: January 09, 2003, 11:23:25 PM »
Hi!

Wow, another Expat board! I just found this one (I usually post on another one) and I even see some familiar names.

I'm Gina and I moved here 2 years ago after marrying my British husband, who I met on the Internet. We live in Swindon.

Just wanted to say hi! Is anyone else here from NJ?

Gina

Hi Gina!  Nice to meet you!

I'm not in Swindon or from New Jersey, but glad to see you found the site all the same.  You'll find we're a pretty friendly group, so just right on in!

(Btw, I'm in London, from Nashville TN most recently and been here about two years now too....)

Great to have ya!

Hiya Gina!
I'm in Wiltshire, too!  ;D
Still at the usual place, but it's changed a bit since you last saw it. Stop in and bring Jody along!

Hiya Gina! I'm not from Jersey either, but I've been there! Does that count?

Hello Regina. Must add my greetings here as well. Welcome. Do you post on the American Expats?

I've just jotted down names and it looks as if there are 6 of us here in Wiltshire. Almost enough to start our own village! And three of you are in Swindon. And I think two of you work at the same company? What a coinkidink.  Have you, Judyfrom MN and Jody got together yet??? I know i'd be lost without the friendship of LisaE who's very close by.

Hope we can all arrange a get together sometime!

No dear. You'd be lost with me. I have no sense of direction. Did I need to retell you what happened on the way to the train station this morning? (Stop laughing!)

Hi Gina,

I'm not in Wiltshire but I live just over the Bergen County, NJ border in Rockland County.  I'm on my way to Nottinghamshire in five weeks.

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome!

I do get some confusion as most people pronounce it "Tree-za" and the Gaelic pronunciation is "Tray-sa".  But most people just give up and go for the "Tree".  LOL

Cheers

Hey everyone!

Sorry, I haven't been on here in awhile. Just want to say hi back!

Yes, Jody and I work together. We've only recently met Judy (I said hi to her on here, not knowing we work in the same place!) There's also another American there named Alice but I don't think she posts on many expat boards.

Nice to see so many people from Wiltshire!  :D
