What part of Florida are you from and how long have you been freezing in the Northwest?

I came from Naples; lived there 20 years.

Hi muddindogs, welcome. :) I have 3 younguns here myself, 2, 3, and 5 years old. Do you stay at home with yours? That can take it's toll if you don't get out much. I know, I live it. ::)

I don't remember it being this cold so long last winter.

Great to have replies. Yes I stay home - I am so nervous about driving over here, I need to build my confidence. Well, Leah I can't whine too much now as I'm only home with one - not three.

Thanks for the welcome Wench. Hopefully, it will get warmer soon - it's great to hear how you have settled in and have a zest for everything - it keeps me positive.  :)

You'll get better chica.  And when in doubt St Johns Wort and chocolate work well in tandem.  ;)

Hi,
I'm currently living in Denver, but was born in Gainesville and raised in Orlando.
How did you end up moving to England? I'm so jealous. I can't wait until I can do the same.
So, tell me about the winter...just how cold is it? Fortunately, having lived in Colorado...and in upstate NY a few years ago has prepared me for most anything.  :)
Sing like no one’s listening... Dance like no one’s watching...Love like you’ve never been hurt.

HI, I have family here (my father, brother and his family) - I'll admit I was a whiner in Florida when we had our 'winter' cold spell - it has been mild recently :) Good luck with your plans to move and if you have any questions this site is a great resource.
