UK: The Mail tries to rouse sympathy for BNP leader Griffin

...by changing things around and making stuff up:

Quote
[...]the Mail used its version to support its claim that the BBC was "stage managing" an onslaught against BNP leader Nick Griffin during the programme. The Mail's story was headlined "Anatomy of an Ambush" and the caption to its altered leaflet, said that profiles on the sheet were "starting with Nick Griffin". But the original document in fact started with a profile of cabinet minister Jack Straw, the most senior of the panellists.

The article shows images of the two different instructions to the audience, one given to the real audience, the other the one given to the audience in that parallel universe where most Mail stories happen.  Sort of like our own, but not quite.  I hear it's a bit more scandalous over there, and there are more immigrants.

::) Even if it were true and he was "ambushed" ... HELLO, he wasn't forced to appear on the programme was he? What the hell did he think was going to happen? A tea party in his honour?

For those who don't know, What is the BNP/British National Party.

It's about the equivalent of the Neo-Nazis and KKK.  :-\\\\

Didn't he make reference to the KKK leader he had his photo taken with as "almost entirely non-violent"?

He claimed it was "a KKK" and a non-violent one.

"almost entirely non-violent".

Now, call me old fashioned, but, if you are "almost non" something, then you are in fact that thing.

What an assclown (my new favourite word :D )

Not quite, that's what the BBC quoted him as saying, he said that this guy was the leader of a chapter (or whatever they are called) that was "non-violent".
