The great thing is she was added to three different churches prayer lists for her saftey while she was missing.

pretty much everyone knows she was missing and where she was found. So she's gonna have alot of expalinin' to do at my southern-bible-belt wedding.
I was really beginning to feel alarmed as I read through this thread...and then to have this ending...

Thank you ImissEngland, I'm sure it's been a huge pain for you but it gave me a smile. Good luck with your wedding!
Oh, I've had some seriously flaky friends. A childhood friend was supposed to come visit for a week and never turned up. Come to find out, she'd met a cute guy and went sailing with him instead. Good times.

My sister was meeting a good friend who'd done a semester abroad in France. The friend was supposed to pick up my sister from the airport in Paris and then they were going to backpack around Europe for a month. The friend didn't show up at the airport so my sister made her own way to a hotel and called the contact number. The girl's roommate answered and said the friend had "run away" with a French guy instead!

My sister did the trip on her own. Luckily she had a good time and managed to make some new friends along the way.
