ILR Application Processing Times
« on: March 12, 2010, 08:45:57 PM »
I thought I'd start a new thread for those of us who have applied for ILR recently. I thought 'Hey, why should the Citizenship applicants have all the fun???'  ;D... I'll start.

SET(M) sent off today 12/03/2010...the wait begins  :P

Sent mine off today as well.  Set (O) based on being a bereaved spouse.  It was quite easy.  I didn't have to take the LIUK test.  I don't have to show any financial documents.  Basically, pay the fee, submit the death certificate and show correspondence that we were in a continuing relationship.  I feel lost without my passport.  I hope it doesn't take six months like I have heard it can take.  I have no proof of identity until I get it back.

I sent my SET(M) off on 1st March....they took full payment on 5th March and I received a letter around 8th March stating my app was passed to a case worker and that they'll let me know their decision.

Eeek! :)  Hang in there!

Sounds like they are working fast and furiously.  I sent mine off on the 13th of Mar.  According to the latest figures, I should have it back in about 10 days.  That will be awesome if I do!

Good luck everyone! I'm applying for mine in just over 2 months so I'm anxious to keep track of how fast the returns by post are to determine if I should go in person or not. Fingers crossed for all of you!  :)

Thought I would chime in with my ILR by post times...

Application posted 16 March
Money taken 18 March
Letter Received 20 March
Passport back with ILR 31 March .. ILR dated 27 March.
Total 15 days from start to finish.

Please note that my Spouse visa was KOL required. I did not know that meant I could apply anytime the last two years until recently. Visa was due to expire 10 April.

Good luck to all those who are still waiting and who are going through process soon.

Wow! Sharon that was SUPER quick...Congratulations!

Though I have to admit that I'm starting to get a tiny bit nervous about mine now. It's been 19 days since posting for me and it will be 14 days tomorrow since receving the letter and the cheque cleared the bank sometime last week... :-\\\\.

I'm just paranoid about leaving the house now and missing the delivery...oh well.

I know what you mean about that.  Mine and yours both could come any time now and I have the same concern.  I don't want to miss it and have to go pick it up.  It will be kind of bittersweet for me when I get it since my husband is no longer here to share in the joy.

Sent mine off today...ILR Set (M). I so hope it comes sooner rather than later...my son is already missing one visit to the states because his passport had to go. His Dad won't be pleased if he has to wait another 6 months.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about dancing in the rain.

I'm sorry that it will be so bitter sweet for you.  It's a sad way to apply for ILR.

Here's hoping everyone waiting hears back soon though!
