Hi Ame,

I am pretty much in the same boat.  Sent mine on the 17th of Feb. Recieved Confirmation letter and money was taken out on the 22nd of Feb and still waiting.

I think it should take around the 12 week mark.

Same boat.
Sent mine in around Feb 25th. Received confirmation letter and payment taken out a few days later, then... nothing.  No news is good news?  lol  I guess if they had a problem with it, they'd have notified us by now.

Hi All,

I have come across a few forums that deal with VISA in the UK and process time and i just though i would start a timeline for my ILR (from SET M) ... if anyone could chip in .. then we can possibly estimate how long ILR's are taking nowadays!

IRL from Set (M)

Application Sent Feb 17th 2012 (Friday)
Acknowledgement letter recieved from UKBA on the 20th of Feb 2012 (Monday)
Fees taken out on the 22nd Feb 2012

Still Waiting!

Hello everyone!

I sent my ILR application (SET M) by post on January 13th. I received my confirmation letter on the 18th. Still haven't heard anything back and 6 months is quickly approaching. Did anyone else send theirs in January?

Got my ILR VISA today :)

I had sent in the application Feb 25th, so it took about 3 months and 3 weeks. Whew.

Just letting you know so that yours might be arriving soon, too.

Just received my ILR yesterday, 29 June  :D
UKBA received the application on 27 Feb.
Just over 4 months, but with quite a few bank holidays in there.

Hi all - my ILR SET O timeline is as follows:

Premium service appointment Croydon: 24 Jan 2012 (no decision, additional docs requested)
Additional docs received by Croydon: 25 Jan 2012
Request to Expedite Application letter sent: 15 June 2012
Call from Senior Case Worker and additional docs re-sent: 26 June 2012
ILR granted: 27 June 2012
Passport picked up: 29 June 2012

Total processing time just over 5 months. Significant delay due to UKBA losing additional documents which Post Office confirmed were delivered/received in January.

Good luck to all those waiting.

Hi - I haven't posted here in a while. My American Civil Partner finally got her ILR visa after a wait of 18 weeks from time of postal application in March. How wonderful to be finally done with collecting evidence and assembling documentation -not to mention sending tons of money to the UKBA for visa after visa. And we have our passports back so free to travel!

Just a question - on the residence permit it clearly states Indefinite Leave to Remain but it has an expiry date in 10 years time. In the accompanying information it doesn't mention how you go about renewing it when it expires. Has anyone else had an expiry date on an ILR visa?

No, there is no expiry date on mine, but I did apply right before certain rules changed in late February.

Hi guys, I haven't posted on here in a while as I was so relieved to get my marriage visa a while ago! I'm getting prepared to make my application for ILR(M) in November, and I was reading through the application requirements and have a stupid quesiton. I had my biometrics done in the US and just have a photocopy of the appointment slip stamped and everything. Do I need to get a biometrics permit or card?

Also, I'm unsure about application times. I officially moved to the UK on the 10th of Nov. 2010 and my visa expires the 13th of Jan 2013. So can I make my application on Nov. 11th?

Thanks for everyone's help  ;D

You can apply 28 days before you reach the 2-year anniversary of arriving in the UK, so if you arrived on November 10th 2010, you can apply for ILR from October 12th 2010 (but as long as you have applied before 13th Jan 2013 when your visa expires, you'll be fine).

Hi All, just trying to get a feel for current waiting times on ILR.

- Money taken
- Confirmation letter received shortly after
- Biometrics requested 21st August and completed the same day
- Currently still waiting - so 3 months, so far

Anyone have current experiences?
