Congratulations to all of you getting your ILR! Just had my biometrics taken the other day so I'm in for the long wait now.

Application sent: 16 May
Payment taken: 20 May
Biometrics letter received: 6 June
Biometrics taken: 6 June

I was expecting to wait longer to get my biometrics letter, so fingers crossed that things are speeding up!
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

I think the local bunch just put slips through doors rather than check if someone's home. I had the same issue when I renewed my US Passport (and they use the same delivery company). As long as it arrives safely, I guess...

Have found this site extremely helpful for visa info, processing times, etc., so thought we would post our timeline for others to view:
Applied SET(M) - January 29, 2014
Money Taken - January 31, 2014
Biometrics Letter Received - February 12, 2014
Biometrics Completed - February 15, 2014
BRP Received - June 12, 2014
Passport and Documents Returned - June 12, 2014
It has been a long, hard wait especially as we had planned a vacation over a year ago and had to cancel it at the last minute last week for lack of a passport.  Calling doesn't seem to get you anywhere so, beware, give yourself plenty of time to get the process complete.
Good luck to everyone.

This thread's gone achingly quiet. Just wanted to bump it up to see if anyone has an update?

I'm still waiting for my response, and am anxiously hoping for a glimpse into where they are in the queue. :P

Here's my timeline:

Applied via SCS: 19 March 2014
Payment taken: 21 March 2014
Biometrics letter: 29 March 2014
Biometrics taken: 29 March 2014

Has anyone else gotten a response since the last post?

So Monday morning there was a knock on the door but I was indisposed, so didn't answer it, but then found a slip from DX. And when postie delivered the letter later the same morning I knew it must have been my BRP. Dang! I arranged for redelivery today but they'll probably come at 6 pm because I didn't opt to shell out £6.75 for the am vs pm option. >:(

Anyhoo...I had submitted back on 24 February using the document checking service in Huntingdon, and then submitted biometrics a couple of weeks later (sorry, forgot the date). I may have been a bit naughty...our MP was campaigning door to door and, as he was on my doorstep asking me if there were any issues he could help with, I did tell him about the long waits people were experience with the ILR applications, and he offered to send a letter of support. How could I refuse? but I did point out that it wasn't just about me, it was part of a bigger problem (which may or may not have something to do with the current government's attitudes towards immigrants, but whatevs). Given that my approval has come through a bit quicker than some in this thread, I do think it helped.

What's hard to take, though, is that my family's get-together in Maine is *this very week*...without me.  :\\\'(

Just thought I'd update here for anyone watching this thread as anxiously as I am. :) I saw someone in another forum say she got her BRP back yesterday. She says she applied on the 15th of March and did her biometrics on the 21st of March.

Her biometrics were done 8 days before mine, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll see mine in the next week or two. :)

Hope this helps anyone else watching here for an idea of where you are in the queue.

Today I received my BRP around 11.00 am. It's close to 4 months, timeline dates are as below:

10th SCS Appt
17 th Mar Application received by HO
27th Mar Biometrics submitted
BRP issue date 11th Jul
BRP Delivery date 15th Jul

Hope this gives all an idea about how long the wait is. From forums I have found it's mostly 17 to 20 weeks. Good luck to all those waiting and Thank you for all those who shared their timeline. :)

Rgds

Since it's taking so long for mail in applications would it be better to just do an in person appt? Does anyone know the timeline of getting an appt in Croyden as I've read that they r always booked up well in advance.... Thanks
