Mesquitte BBQ baby back ribs, home made potato salad and Texas Baked Beans with molasses! ;D

Whoa... slow down, Tex! You're making me crazy over here yakkin' on about ribs, potato salad and beans!  ;) I'm from Dallas!  [smiley=cowboy.gif]

Oh man, last night, I had a steak with thick chips and peppercorn sauce at the local restaurant and it was amazing! I hadn't eaten steak in years since it's never as good as the steak in Texas, but this one was almost that good.  ;)

Tonight I think it will be some kind of prawn stir fry.

Got home and started a pasta bake... But then we each had a sandwich because we were too hungry to wait, so most the pasta will be for tomorrow.
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Beef stew

Hey Dallas, I use my own products www.tasteoftexas.co.uk, eat my stock all the time ;D I can give you a great receipe for beans but molasses are hard to find here so I just ran out and will use maple syrup until I can track down molasses.  Tonight we are having steak fajitas, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and chips ;D  I love to cook so I could really drive you crazy if I post our meals daily ;D

FYI - Treacle is the closest thing to molasses here- tastes almost identical.  :)

Thank you SO much.  I asked someone about the black treacle and they said it was nothing like it so I did not buy it.  I will give it a try and let you know.  Thanks again!

I've found molasses in larger Tescos (IIRC it was near the gluten free products) and in Holland and Barrett.
Tonight we are having beef stew with homemade rolls.

I think the stuff at Holland & Barrett is usually blackstrap molasses - which may or may not be what ToT is looking for.  I tend to use the black treacle because it's just easier to source.  :)

I think we're going to have a butternut squash & chickpea stew tonight.

Tonight's going to be parsnip and apple soup (guess what we have lots of?) with some nice bread that my husband's going to pick up on his way home. And maybe I'll throw on some of the garlic croutons I made the other night, too.

We are supposed to be at dh's Christmas party tonight for his work eating turkey and other such Christmasy things, but half the staff could not get into work today and the London staff do not want to come to York for the event.  We are waiting to hear if it will still go ahead.  If not, well then, guess I better check the freezer.   :P
