I just called B&Q and they said that the manufacturer of the bedside table will call me within 48 working hours to arrange delivery... so that's Monday or Tuesday. But the problem is, I'm only available for the delivery on Monday, Tuesday or Friday next week. After that, I'm in Bristol for a week, so unless they can deliver on Friday, I won't be able to get it replaced until after Easter :(.
I have my fingers crossed that your luck changes and they can deliver it on Friday!

We are steadily getting all the things needed for a normal house (as opposed to tiny london one bedroom flat) and I vacuumed 2 rooms today and boy did it need to be done, previous tenants definitely put powders of some sort in the carpets and didn't vacuum them up well. Husband has to do the last bedroom and steps cuz that drained most of my energy. But now I also want a steam cleaner for the carpets!

It was probably that powder carpet refresher. Takes awhile to get it back out once you sprinkle it on.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Yep, and that I'm super allergic to :( glad I was adamant on the high quality vacuum with HEPA etc.

Did he get home okay??

He did.  I didn't hear from him again because he was driving.  He got home at half-two.  Normally, he's home at about half-nine, so that was an annoying start to our new life.  But it's been going swimmingly since.  We've had two awesome days of food and relaxation.  And now he has a week before his new job starts, so we're still up at nearly midnight on a Sunday!  Weeeee!

At least he made it home though!

Yeah we were up until well after midnight. We went to this buffet place called Cosmo (it's a chain but not sure what cities have them and which don't) and my husband ate so much he actually made himself ill (thinking he got food poisoning but he was just WAY WAY WAY too full lol).

In the end we went to bed at half-two.  We were still celebrating.  It's been a very sixteen months.  We've much to make up for.  :)

You crazy kids!

At the risk of making it sound even worse, we were chatting with my sister off and on during the night, and I sent a couple of stupid videos to her.  She also said we are crazy.  :)

This made me laugh! You two sound great together though, I'm glad he'll be home now!

We finally got to talk to someone about the mattress we are waiting impatiently for, apparently it's fancy enough they are made to order! So they should've told us when we ordered that it would be 3 weeks to delivery minimum. So... we ordered our IKEA guest bed today in hopes it'll air out soon enough for me to be able to use it instead of air mattresses for another 2 months. And shelves, so we'll finally have space to put things. I'm thinking I will owe my husband a couple bottles of wine by the time all the furniture is assembled!

We went mattress shopping at John Lewis yesterday and I was thinking of you Margo. Luckily, the mattress we both liked was the second cheapest.  I can't remember if it had buttons.

With all the emoji and apostrophes we might believe someone else had a good weekend after a failed swimming test

Hands up for all who finally got a leg over!
