Hello everyone
« on: April 30, 2003, 09:23:35 PM »
My name is Leanne, I'm an 18-year-old Brit living in the East Midlands. I'm here because I have been posting on US and European forums for some time. I am struck by the differences between our cultures, and our different approaches to life. So, I wondered how US people find it over here, and also how do you think I would find life in the USA, if I ever visited.  :)  <<< Cool smileys in here.

Hi Leanne. I love it here, but it's far different than I imagined it would be and it took a while for me to actually feel it was my home. People in the States would find your 'accent' very charming! I think your first impression of the States would be that it was big and open...then clean...then overwhelming with choice. And don't be surprised if someone asks you if you are from Australia.
Married to Graham, we run our own open-source computer training company in beautiful Wiltshire out of our 1814 Georgian Regency home (a former lodging house and once featured in Antiques Roadshow)
