3rd European Conference on Nationality, Strasbourg, 12 Oct 04
« on: October 15, 2004, 10:29:41 AM »
This event took place earlier this week without too much ado about anything.  Ho hum...

*HOWEVER*:  Head of the Home Office Nationality Directorate, Andrew Walmsley, delivered an amazing paper on citizenship issues surrounding children.  It's really an eye-opener to see how much latitude they have.

Of course the dolts at the conference web site have deleted his speech.  I saved a text copy at http://www.londonelegance.com/transpondia/walmsley.txt

Very highly recommended reading!

Yep, very interesting read indeed.   Luckily, I was born in the UK before the Immigration law of 1981 went into effect, otherwise I would not be able to claim British citizenship.
