Strawberry wine, yummmmm!

When we were out on the canals, we found a "home brewer" who made all sorts of wine/whisky, tried pear wine and irish whisky, good stuff!

Ahh, spent my day yesterday making an all grain pumpkin beer (with homegrown pumpkins)  -  Smells so good, let's see what it tastes like after fermentation.  ;D

The pumpkin beer, omg, I am so impressed! I was just in the US and was trying a few different pumpkin beers, but oh man, I don't think they can even hold a candle to mine. The subtle pumpkin and spicing is just right on mine.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

We've got some peapod wine on the go now. We tried the gorse wine and it's actually really nice.
Hoping to get some beer on the go very shortly!  ;D

I've really been upping the brewing, it's quite scientific now.  Somethings have worked, some haven't.  All grain brewing is way worth it though.  Currently have a Cherrywood Smoked Porter ready for secondary conditioning.
Next up, Rye IPA.

I'm so jealous!  Home brewing would be the thing I would try if I had the space, the time and needed more beer in my life.

How are you getting the smoke taste into the porter?

Malt is smoked over cherry tree branches (hence cherrywood), but I bought the malt this way already done.  You can also add in oak chips during fermentation, but I think mine will be smoked enough.

What can I trade you for a bottle?  I'd offer some of the grits that Silly Badger is supposed to send me but that story is going downhill fast.  Apparently he/she had a car accident that involved my grits being spread everywhere .

Made a Rye IPA last weekend. Everything went wrong, but I still got something worth fermenting.  We shall see!!!

I vote a strawberry lime cider.  I know you grow your own fruits and veg and since strawberries will be coming into season soon...   ;D
