I set up my account really easily, it was definitely under 15 minutes. Whatever steps I followed automatically generated my account number, which was emailed to me. The only part that took a bit of extra time was to attach a credit card to the account so I could pay for my package once it was shipped. I did not create a waybill though... I just sent them my account number.

You can't pre-pay for shipping on your return package because UPS will not allow you to create the actual label for a package that is being shipped from outside the US. The lady at my local UPS store couldn't give me a reason for not doing it, just that they don't do it.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I really wish I wouldn't have listened to our visa solicitor and went ahead and paid for priority. I bet I would have received my visa by now. How long has it been taking for non-priority visa's this month?

Hi everyone, I had similar question as Amyncol26, how long has the non-priority applications been taking? Also another question, do you know if they work Monday-Friday or do they work weekends too? Thank you, Brittany

Recently ksand24 posted on this thread that it was about 4 weeks for non-priority, and that was at a time when it was 2 weeks for priority.

I haven't seen many non-priority timelines posted recently, but, based on that, it might only be taking 2-3 weeks right now (since priority seems to be taking only about 1 week right now)?

If you go back a page, you'll see two other timelines, one for priority and one non-priority:

Priority:
- application arrived in Sheffield: Oct 20th
- visa decision made: Oct 30th
Processing time: 2 weeks

Non-priority
- application arrived in Sheffield: Oct 6th
- visa decision made: Oct 30th
Processing time: 4 weeks

I'm so upset.  I received my confirmation of delivery email for my priority spouse visa last Monday, November 10, and have not received the decision made email yet.  All of the recent applications listed on here have received the email right at a week, and I even saw one that was two days!  I'm on such a time crunch because I'm taking my dogs with me and the cargo company closes for the last two weeks of December.  Uggg, so stressed.   :\\\'(

Seriously, don't be upset - it's only been a week and that's nothing in visa processing times (a month ago, priority was taking 3-4 weeks). Every application is different, so you can't base your timeline on other people's timelines. It may be that some processing officers are getting through their application piles faster than others and so they are approving applications more quickly.

Also, not everyone gets all the emails - some people don't get any emails at all and then their visa just shows up unexpectedly.

Thank you for the encouraging words Ksand24! :)  I know you're right, I'm just being irrational because I wake up every morning and check my email only to be disappointed.  I am on such a time crunch because of shipping my dogs, plus I have family coming to visit in England for Christmas...everything is just down to the day, literally, so I'm stressed.  But everything will happen in it's time...just sitting here impatiently waiting!

Hi guys - was wondering if anyone else never received an email from Sheffield after it's delivered??
We've tracked our package and it was delivered on Friday.. it's Tuesday now and no word from any ECO about if they've started on our case.. is this normal? We've paid for priority.. maybe we're just being overly paranoid but I thought we could expect to receive at least 1 email by now  :(
