Any news from non-priority April applicants?

For renewal applications, is it okay to wait until fairly close to the expiration of the first? My visa expires on September 18th and I'm afraid to send in an application now and not have my passport back to travel in the summer. Would it be okay to hold off on this until the end of August when I return? Thanks for any advice.

I think that's fine Jess. You just need to apply before it expires. The earliest you can apply is 28 days ahead of that date but that doesn't mean you HAVE to apply that early on.

Does anyone know what the UKVI is considering as "100%" on their visa processing page? I'm about 21 days into my wait and I'm a little perplexed by the perimeters of the information they provide (or the lack of perimeters, as it were.)

They take all of the visa decisions made in a particular month and give you the amount of time they all took, in percentages. They used to list the number of decisions made as well, but not anymore.

So, at the moment, the published processing times are for settlement visa decisions made in the US during April 2016.

It's says that of all the decisions made during April, 3% were done in 2 working days, 54% in 10 working days, 63% in 15 working days, 96% in 30 working days, 99% in 60 working days and 100% in 120 working days.

So, that means that the longest anyone who received their visa decision in April had to wait was 120 working days. However, the majority of people only had to wait up to 30 working days.

That makes much more sense; thank you.
