FedEx no longer accepted for return service!!!

Return shipping
To have your documents returned you must provide a fully addressed prepaid electronic shipping label and appropriate packaging from DHL, the US Postal Service (USPS) or UPS Express (no ground services and no non-electronic waybills). Put your return shipping label and envelope inside the package, and keep a copy of the waybill for your records.

If you do not provide a shipping waybill and envelope with your application we are unable to return your documents to you.

You are advised to buy a waybill that can be tracked and we recommend you purchase insurance. If you choose to provide a pre-paid USPS shipping waybill that cannot be tracked, this will be used for return shipping but we cannot accept responsibility once the package has been collected by USPS.

The international return service is required for all settlement applications. You can buy this from DHL or UPS Express.

From 1 October 2014, we will no longer be able to return documents using any form of FedEx waybills. Please ensure that you purchase your prepaid return waybill from an alternative mail provider.

 issued wage slips and those deposits sometimes have different dates at times. i.e., wage slips issued on 1/01/2014 that deposit was made on the 3/01/2014

I don't think anyone would suggest USPS - unless you never want to see your documents again :S. Chances are they will get stuck in customs for weeks on end and possibly never arrive at their destination.

Best to use a next-day or overnight service with a courier that has their own customs service so you know it won't get held up, will get fast delivery and you can track it all the way - obviously, FedEx is now out, but I would go with either UPS or DHL... whichever you prefer.

That shouldn't be a problem - you just need to show that the amount on each payslip was deposited into your bank account each month.

To finish my sentence..

So will this be problem for the ECO?
Ive always had a day or two difference in dates with issued wage slips and deposits made into my bank account!

Wow!  I used FedEx International Priority shipping at the end of August and then for the return of my documents at the end of September and had absolutely no problems.  I have read that others have been having issues....  Wonder what exactly happened to lead to this.

UKVI did seem to be having to contact lots of people to ask for another international waybill to be sent, even when they had already set one up with FedEx, so perhaps they have been having problems getting them to work or something?

How do you think this affects applications they already have with a FedEx waybill and account number? They have had my application since September 8 so I'm hoping it will be approved and returned any day now (this is the fourth week). Now I'm even more nervous!

I would imagine that if they can't use the FedEx one, they'll probably just contact you when the documents are ready to be returned and ask you to set up a waybill with a different courier instead.

This is true.  I was all ready to re-send my number.

Perhaps they will still return it but are just not accepting new FedEx Waybills....  May be worth setting up a UPS or DHL account just to be prepared.

Im fairly new to the forum as my partner has been doing all the leg work and has gotten alot of help from everyone here (thank you all so much!) so i thought id chip in here.

For anyone who has an application pending in Sheffield, just to try and put your mind at ease.
Our app. was sent in sept and recieved in Sheffield on the 16th via fedex.
We got our decision made email today! Its is being returned via fedex and ive checked and it is in transit.

Point is, it seems that if you sent your app. via fedex and and provided a return label/account number with everything. They seem to be sending them back via fedex as opposed to asking you to make a new waybill.

Hope this helps anyone who may be worried.

I sent with a fedex priority return and received an email this morning that I need to do something else They need an international courier customer account number from me. Just wanted to update because this is fresh as of today!

Anyone had luck with DHL? waiting for them to call me back? It seems like it will be okay, but I spoke with 2 people who didn't get it/said it couldn't be done. Waiting for a call back. USPS has no idea what to do with any of these and the UPS I went to was useless so I'm betting on DHL. If anyone has had luck with a service other than FEDex, it would be great to know! Thank you!

anyone have luck with UPS? USPS is useless. DHL says it will take 2 -3 days to set up. I am already in the process, but Sheffield did say "as soon as possible" so I am really trying to get on this. It would be great to know if anyone has had success with UPS.

Also, do people have trouble? I am hitting a lot of walls over in the US - trying to explain what I need. Of course it was fine with FEDex, but since they rejected that, I'm a bit lost. Any personal experiences much appreciated.

Hi, all.  Realise I am a newbie but I just got my application status letter - albeit ambiguous - and they are sending my app pkg and passport back via FedEx, although it is with a different tracking # than the one I sent them.
