Visa Evidence requirements

Hi all,

I would be very grateful for some help / clarification here.

Me and my fiancee, are due to put together her Visa application very shortly.  I'm just looking for confirmation that the evidence we are submitting is correct, as I know rules and requirements my change now and then and this is all very scary stuff!

This is what I have below, hoping that this is a definitive list.

SECTION 1: IDENTIFICATION
1.1 APPLICANT ID
a. Passport images
b. Passport
c. Social Security Application (for any name change after wedding)
d. Certificate of Live Birth

1.2 SPONSOR ID
a. Passport (Notarised copy if not available)
b. Certificate of Live Birth

SECTION 2: RELATIONSHIP

2.1 Marriage Documentation
a. Marriage License
b. Photographs of Wedding Day
c. Divorce decrees (if necessary Applicant and Sponsor’s previous marriages)

2.2 Communication
a. List of meetings
b. Email sample covering the relationship
c. Facebook screenshots/pictures
d. Invitation to come and live from Sponsor to Applicant

SECTION 3: PROOF OF MAINTENANCE
3.1 Sponsor’s Employment Evidence/Income Statements
a. Letter of Employment
b. P60
c. Employment Contract
d. Payment records (Payslips)
e. Bank Statements (Sponsor)

SECTION 4:  PLANNED ARRIVAL & ACCOMMODATION
4.1 ACCOMMODATION
a. Mortgage Statement or Rental Agreement
4.2 Flight Itinerary
a. Screenshot from airfare website showing an intended flight for the applicant to come to the UK

Birth certificates are unnecessary as is the social security name change document.  The visa is issued in the name on the passport.  Sponsor's passport copy does not need to be notarised. 

Financial documents depend on what category you are applying under. 

If accommodation is rented you need a letter of permission from the landlord.  If owned you need the deed or land registry.  You should also include a council tax or other utility bill.

The sponsor need to write a letter of sponsorship and the applicant can write a letter of introduction.

It would have been better if you had continued in your original topic.

Be sure to submit evidence that satisfies Appendix FM-SE.
