Hello from Needham MA (moving to Cambridge UK this summer).  Small world.

I see Monday's storm has been upgraded again.  Yippee  :(

The USCIS biometrics processing center on Portland street (I assume that's where you;re going) is easily accessible from Haymarket and North Station T stops (I know because I did my US citizenship biometrics there), so even if there's snow if you can make it to the T you should be be able to get there.   I definitely wouldn't want to be driving into town on Monday.   Good luck !   My wife will no doubt be headed there some time in April, and she has reminded me that the newly opened Ghirardelli chocolate store is very close by and will have to be visited afterward (we used to live in San Francisco bay, home to Ghirardelli).

I did my biometrics there too. There is a Kimpton hotel across the street from the center too if you don't want to risk it and spend a night next to the garden.

As long as there's not another Travel Ban you should be able to make it by public transportation.  Unless you're coming from the real boonies.  And if there is an official ban on travel, I would think the appointments would be cancelled anyway (?)

What happened to the January thaw, anyway?  Will it be in February (I hope)?

According to the National Weather Service Boston (10 hours ago) it's a Winter Storm Watch and most impact on South Shore.  Sounds like a "normal" storm not a biggie.  But at commuting times unfortunately.  Good luck.

Thank you all for the replies,  They are forcasting 12 - 18 inches so not as bad as last week.  We have a short drive to Forest Hills T station then we can take the orange line to North Station.  Our appointment is at 11am but I think we are going to set out at 9am and if we cant get the car out we can walk to the bus stop.. I found a link on USCIS website that shows if any offices are closed so we will watch that too.
