Healthcare when Spouse working in UK
« on: May 23, 2015, 06:52:58 PM »
I read this exemption that we would not be charged NHS hospital fees from here "Anyone who is working in the UK for a UK-based employer or who is self-employed in the UK. This does not include people looking for work"

Does this apply if the UK employer is NOT providing us private insurance as part of our relocation/contract. Just on the basis of us living there and working for a UK company can we access healthcare thru NHS for the year we are there. Thanks!

As part of the visa application process, you'll be required to pay a healthcare surcharge.  You will be permitted to access the NHS same as a UK citizen when you're living in the UK.
