US iMac
« on: February 16, 2016, 11:16:08 PM »
I'm sorry if this has been asked before and I can't locate the thread; will my US iMac work just fine in the UK with the UK power adapter? Will I need anything else for it?

My US Mac Book Air and iMac work with no problems using the UK power cords that I bought from Apple.  I also have a iPad that is from the US and a iPhone from the UK, they all sync together with no issues.  Only thing I had to do was set up a UK iTunes account..

I too have Apple products from different countries, and they all work fine wherever we are.

Hey there!

I brought my iPad 2 and my 2010 Macbook pro over in 2014 and both are still going strong using the power adapter I bough in 2013 to visit my guy.

Cheers!
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Apple products are much cheaper in the US (as most things are), so get what you want before you come!

This was back in 2010, but I brought over my US iMac (whatever model it was at that point), and it worked absolutely fine in the UK.  I just got a UK power cord, and that was it.  It's still going strong now.

+1

We have used the charging adaptors for our iPhones and iPad with no problems in the UK in past years.

This year in the US we have bought a Macbook Air and an Apple TV, and plan to take them with us to the UK.
