I think it's already happening, there's people called bio hackers who install things like this in real life, today.  They also put in things like magnets so they can sense electrical fields. 

I'd do it in a minute if it was practical to replace all the various ways I prove who I am.  It would be worth it just for the Oyster card alone.

It's of interest. But will they have GPS? Who will run it? Google? Monsanto?
