Definitely men as the trailing spouse in the UK too.  I think women tend to worry more, so they do more research.    ;D

Men aren't allowed to express their feelings of worry. Patriarchy harms even those it purports to benefit.

Yes, patriarchy gets a little sticky when you start factoring for race and such.

I think of you as a sensitive old soul.  Someone wise beyond their years.   :)

You hit me with that right as I am feeling a bit decrepit. My shame at the state of my front garden got to the point yesterday (my neighbour should enter the garden show), that I went out and hacked at stuff for an hour or so last evening.

I am sore in strange places today and apparently gardening doesn't affect me the way it does some people; I am not relaxed by it, nor do I feel any sense of accomplishment.

I think I need to do some stretchy yoga type things.

Hi sorry only just seen this. My husbands from Vermont. He's lived all over though. Born in Mass and spent some of his childhood in the South. Where are you from?

I'm a US husband.  Grew up in FL, but lived all over the US, and now London.

No idea how to say this without it sounding awkward, but I wouldn't mind some good stories and a beer with other American husbands.  I like Brits, but would enjoy talking to someone who understands that 2 hours isn't a long drive ;).
