Requiem for a Dream
The Littlest Horse Thieves

A bit of a jarring turn-around here....

Cool Hand Luke is one of my favourites too. You forget how handsome Paul Newman was. But I watched it with my father when I was very young, and I remember asking him why Luke cut the tops off of the parking meters. Looking back I think it was a hard question to field from an 8 year old.

My mother once literally bumped elbows with Paul Newman (this was at a crowded Quincy Market in Boston)  One look at his blue eyes and she practically swooned.  And my mother was never a big movie fan.

Ahh, if I were young and he was young (well Cool Hand Luke 1967 era) I was seeing those blue eyes, yes, I sure would have swooned as well......   ;D

Passing the time...
Alas not constructive use of time, but I think 2 years hard labour in a roadside prison is a bit of a harsh punishment!!!  These days, you'd probably get an "ASBO" (substitute whatever fits in whatever country)

I watched 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' today.
Wow.  That was... I don't know.  Remarkable.
Made me thankful that I made the decision not to procreate, as I'd probably have ended up with a Kevin-alike, for my sins!
