I found this handy dandy little UK business day calculator. Something to play with to pass the time, if nothing else!  ;)

Hey Guys!
So, Friday I got the following e-mail:Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration enquiry service.

We have received a response from the Decision Making  Centre following our
request for information on your visa application, which was the following
quote:

" The application is in the final processing stages and a decision will be
made soon. "

I really hope their "soon" is quick.... It is happy news but at the same time I do not want to get too excited in case it takes a month or more...
Keeping everyone in my prayers! OUR DAY IS COMING.

Thanks Maluf.  If you don't mind sharing, which other forum are you following where you've seen June decision emails coming through today? Just wanted to check out as it gives me hope.  Thank you.

Thanks very much Maluf!  I just checked it out.  Some countries are getting decision emails today from May/June, which is promising but also hard to gauge for us here as applications are from all over the world and not just from America unfortunately.

The one that I saw close to my timeline (early June) was from Pakistan but I think they have a very different process there to us here.

Still, the queue is moving globally!  That's the positive thing.  Thank you again for sharing this with us Maluf.  Definitely helps to have additional points of reference.

Remember that not all settlement visas are processed in Sheffield so many of the processing times will have no relation to the processing times in Sheffield.

Until recently, Sheffield only processed visas from 4 countries (US, Canada and a couple of African countries, I think), but they have added more countries in the last year or so.

Pakistan settlement visas are now processed in Sheffield though, so they may have similar processing times to US visas :).

Phu,

Here is another expat.com thread you may like to follow.
visa-processing-complain-commiserate-congratulate-thread

On there, one person places a chart detailing all non priority cases from US.(last update on page 101)

In addition, it proves we are not out there on our own and some dark humour and words of encouragement are always welcome at these times of frustration.  :)

If Pakistan is now out of Sheffield, that sounds very encouraging Ksand!  I won't get too excited yet though.
