Getting US sports on TV in UK?
« on: August 25, 2016, 08:45:11 PM »
We are in Glasgow now and loving it so far. It suddenly occurred to my husband that he won't be able to watch his college (Ohio State) and pro football. Is there a way to get Us stations in the UK? Preferably a legal way?

The legal way to get pro football in the UK is NFL Game Pass.

I've been using it for the last few years and it works well. You can either watch on a phone/tablet, or connect the phone/tablet to the TV using a cable (this is a pain), or send the broadcast from the phone/tablet to the TV using a Google Chromecast or something like that.

The only down side is Sky Sports broadcasts a couple of NFL games every weekend, and if a game is being broadcast on Sky it's blacked out in the UK on Game Pass, which is annoying if it's the game you want to watch.

I don't watch college football, but it looks like ESPN has a similar package.
