Mattress Toppers.
« on: September 09, 2016, 02:38:18 PM »
I need a mattress topper for a very hard bed to save the expense and hassle of getting a whole new mattress.

I've been reading the reviews but I'm not seeing a clear winner so far. Does anyone have one that they love?

Wow...this has been me for weeks now! My mattress is horrible..can feel every spring but we rented furnished and I have been on the hunt for a mattress topper for a good while but like you, I find mixed reviews.

I just want a good night's sleep!! So I hope someone here has some insight too (sorry it wanst me!)

I got an awesome memory foam mattress topper from Dunelm earlier this year. Can't remember the brand but it was in the clearance for around £70 (we have a super king). They had a ton of mattress toppers there when I bought mine, so that's where I'd definitely check out!

We have a silent night memory foam topper.  Probably should replace it, it's been 5 years!  But my husband wanted a firm mattress. Me and the salesman convinced him to order the second most firm mattress (he wanted the best).  Shocker - too hard!  The topper really does the trick in making it a good nights sleep.

What is with men and them thinking they have to lay on concrete blocks for it to be 'quality'?   ;D

Once upon a time I would be out on Friday nights with a drink in my hand...this time I spent it in bed with my phone in my hand reading about mattress toppers. Oh how I hate getting older haha

Great idea, thanks! No, I haven't, I'll take a look.
For some reason when I search for something, Ikea never comes up so I'd actually forgotten about it as an option!

It's date night with the hubby at least tonight!

Also I've looked at Ikea and they only had mattress protectors, so nothing thick and comfy that I was looking for anyways.  I do see Dunelm have a few nice ones thanks to the advice here and some are 50% off at the moment.

I'd say it's an inch and a half.  Not very thick but does the job.

We bought an IKEA one in Malaysia, its not very thick but is ok and was all we could get over there.

The one we bought in the UK is this one:

We bought the king size and it is FANTASTIC! It really doesn't get too hot and is very comfortable. I made room in our air freight shipment to bring it back to the US in July, and am very glad I did.
