Heroes?
« on: September 13, 2016, 02:56:11 PM »
I'm thinking of the nurse who went to Africa to help Ebola victims and is today facing disciplinary action.

Last time I had a flu shot, I got chatting with the nurse and she said that she had gone to Africa at the same time.  I was gobsmacked and told her what a hero she is.  Afterwards I did some more of my distinctly un hero job .

On the funny side, I like the Glaswegian who broke his ankle kicking a terrorist. In the nuts. While the terrorist was on fire!

Anyone else?

Thanks for the link, funny that he's living in the US now and has no plans to go back to Scotland.  Me and lots of other people treat it like the funny story it is, but it must have totally changed his life.

Come to Scotland, we'll just set aboot ye!
