Ben and Jerry's Stand
« on: September 29, 2016, 10:46:55 AM »
The other day I was walking by Waterloo and noticed the IMAX has a Ben and Jerry's stand.  I had a few minutes so I thought I'd take some pics and see if they have any good seasonal flavours.  Apologies for the poor quality, I was taking them as quickly as possible because I figured I'd get kicked out at any minute.  The manager did rush over to find out what I was doing, and when I explained, she gave me some ice cream !

I can't find the original post where people talk about what flavours they would like to see, but these were pretty standard.

Living in England has given you a mean sense of humour!

In my head, sonofasailor is like an organic-made-from-the-earth Jeremy Corbyn. Much more in touch with the connections between his inner world and the nature around us. Vastly better at living idealism in practice.

This is not a bad thing, as I often feel that the void where my emotions should be has been filled by cynicism, and I wonder if I will someday regret having allowed that to happen. Like, can I truly embrace the fullest extent of my liberalism if I am this twisted creature of urban solitude and irritation?

Also, there's a Ben and Jerry's at the local Vue (in NW3), but I'm really partial to the Jude's ice cream brand, so I haven't investigated the flavours on offer.

Is Jude's a British brand?  The name sounds familiar but I can't place it

You may have chucked me down an introspective hole with that.

But with Jimbo....it may be a case of "treading hardest on the hearts closest to us".....he is, after all, the only other southern fella on here I can prod.

But what I really wanted to do with his images was Photoshop in a blurry bigfoot behind the counter...in an apron or one of those white Sgt Carterish folding army caps soda fountain guys used to wear and say something about him accidentally catching Sasquatch lurking in Waterloo....but I couldn't get it to look right.

By the way, I'm starting to come around a bit on Corbyn, his speech the other day was right on the money.  I looked at the head of the Labour Party who was a serious Socialist and thought "How can I be on the wrong side of this revolution?"  I'm going to give him a chance.  In return, he'd better start singing that national anthem.

Yes, Devon, I think. It's magical. My husband bakes the most glorious banana bread, and it's extra special with the brown butter pecan ice cream. http://www.judes.co.uk/

Don't tread too far down that introspective hole.

On the other hand, you're right about the photoshop. You just end up with a fuzzy bean behind the counter.
