Need to get a resume going

Hello Guys, i have a Resume North American Standard, with mounds of information, I work in the IT sector, and working in a bank i doing all kinds of projects, and with barracudas,  and more to many to list...i want to start sending out my resume
 I will be living in the Doncaster/Retford Area.Yorkshire and surrounding areas starting point,,, But first  need to get going on a resume

You can, of course, Google some sample UK CVs and make changes to your CV to fit.

Another option is to make the obvious changes and then upload it onto a job site.  I think all IT jobs are found by using the same 4 sites and recruitment consultants.  Once you upload your CV, they will give you a call and then you can pick their brains about good changes to make. 

Are you thinking about contract or permanent?  Maybe people don't contract as much in the US but it's totally possible here.  It can be lucrative if it fits your personality.

Hey Jimbocz really does not matter..contract or full time,it really does not matter, But i will be living around the Retford and Doncaster area. also dont mind travelling to York.

looking for an It resume doc to read...so i can follow the guide lines  of creating a resume, any help would be nice..

They aren't actually called resumes in the UK... so if you've been trying to search online for tips, you may be using the wrong search word. Doing a search for how to write a CV will give you more results.

Secondly, have a look here:

The site is mainly aimed at graduates looking for their first jobs, but their 'how to write a CV' information is pretty good :).

It's not specifically for IT, but it's useful for general information to get you started
