Best Bank to open an account without any issues

Hi all, whats the best bank to open an account with my wife uses Natwest and Barclays..

My first one was with NatWest. Was easy, just make sure you have your passport and proof of address.

My husband and I opened a joint account with HSBC bc he already banks with them.  I couldn't open my own bc didn't have proof of address. 
It was pretty easy and were able to do it in the branch in about an hour.

It was pretty easy and were able to do it in the branch in about an hour.

Halifax took an absolute age to make our account a joint account... and we both already had single accounts with them! We had to go in at least 3 times! And they messed up my name change. Though to be fair, I gave up changing the name on my Bank of Scotland credit card after the fourth try (they kept doing weird permutations of my old and new names).
2004-2008: Student Visa
2008-2010: Tier 1 PSW
2010-2011: Tier 4
2011-2014: Tier 2
2013-2016: New Tier 2 (changed jobs)
16/12/15: SET (LR) successful! - It's been a long road...
12/05/16: Citizenship ceremony!
