Lewes on Bonfire night
« on: November 02, 2016, 09:49:00 AM »

Has anyone been?  This small town near Brighton plans for bonfire night all year round and the celebration is completely insane.  There's a massive parade with torches and people kicking burning barrels down the road, then plenty of blowing up effigies.   And Pope based ritual abuse .

We went about 14 years ago, would love to go back

I am thinking a cup of tea, a nice sponge cake and a couple of episodes of Time Team.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC
