Firstly congratulations to all of those who are getting fast responses.

Are there any other priority October applications out there still waiting for their decision email? Our documents arrived in Sheffield on the 3rd October, confirmation email received on the 4th. We're still waiting for our decision. I'm a little concerned as to how quickly people appear to be reporting their timeframes this week.

We have tried contacting via email from the contact on this site https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/ we received the following response

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWF****** and date of birth
27/02/1990) and found that there are no current updates.

Any help advice appreciated

I can see why you are nervous seeing others receive answers so soon and you are still waiting.  Did you mark the exterior of your package as Priority?  Have you received the email stating that your application is being prepared for consideration?

Honestly, there isn't much you can do at this point but sit tight.   

I can't remember if we did mark it or not, I wasn't in the States at the time it was mailed. No we haven't had an email stating that our application is under review.

I know you're right, nothing we can do but wait!

It's definitely unusual that you haven't received the "application being considered" email as that's sent when the application is logged into the system.  Smart move sending an email to the inquiry service.  They actually seem to be providing decent information lately.  Hopefully someone has physically checked your application and will place it in the correct pile!

Sorry I got confused, I've just checked the email that we received on the 4th October

"Your online application has been received in Sheffield, UK.  Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer."

Ugh! I was really hoping to get a "a decision has been made" email from them today like you guys hmmmm. It's going to be a long weekend.

Just waiting for the official "decision made" email now!
