FLR (M)- Document Check please!
« on: December 02, 2016, 04:25:05 PM »
So, appointment is next week and given we only have a few days left to get anything I would be very appreciative if anyone can let me know if the list below is missing anything! Some items we already have others we will get within the next couple of days.

1. Completed FLR(M) form
2. Payment confirmation printout- for appointment
3. Payment confirmation printout- IHS
4. My passports
5. Husband's passport
6. 2 passport photos (me)
7. 1 passport photo (husband)
8. 6 months payslips, Jun- Nov (husband)
9. 6 months bank statements, showing salary being paid into account (husband)
10. Employer letter (husband)
11. 2 tenancy agreement copies (one signed by us, one signed by landlords)
12. Tenancy extension copy
13. Letter from letting agents verifying tenancy agreements and tenancy extension
14. Marriage certificate
15. 6 items of post, all jointly addressed, spread over 2 years from Jan 2015- Dec 2016, from 3 different sources (2 utilities and council tax). We have at least one item for each 4 month period but are waiting to see if some additional copies we requested arrive to try make the spacing more even. I will post details on these when we finalise the 6 items.

In addition to the above, I also plan on taking (but not submitting with the application- just having with me in case they ask):
1. My employer letter
2. My 6 months payslips
3. My 6 months bank statements, printed from online and stamped/verified by bank
4. Additional post- some from before Jan 2015

And a couple of questions:

a- My husband's bank statements are copies that we requested by post, the first page of each statement says 'here is the statement copy as requested'- can we leave this page out, or will it not matter? Only concern is the pages are numbered so it will be clear we have taken a page out. Should he get these verified at the bank somehow even though they came through the post?
b- Some of our post, like the bank statements, say 'statement copy as requested' or something similar. However, as these are all utility bills they still have statement dates and I recall someone (I think KF?) saying that if they were posted, they count, even if it says that on them. Please can I just confirm this?

Thank you all for your help!

I would include the full statements, even though it says copy.  As they were mailed, they are considered originals and do not need to be stamped.

I would include your husband's job contract and most recent P60 as well.

No kids?  No divorces?  I think you are good.

Thanks KF!

He doesn't have a contract as he's been with the company about 6 years and has changed roles several times. But, this is all outlined in the employer letter so I think that will be ok?

No kids or divorces, no, so hopefully straightforward!

A contract isn't required (just recommended) so no issue there.

Have just gone through all the documents for the millionth time- I want to include 9 items of correspondence just to make sure there are no big gaps. Would this be seen as a bad thing?

You should only give them 6 items, but as you are applying in person, you can take all 9 with you and then hand over the other 3 if they query the spacing of the 6 you have provided.

Silly question- do I need to write anything on the outside of my envelope containing all the documents?

Nope, they'll put it into their own envelope/file folder.

Great news- all approved!  ;D

Will write a post about my experience at Cardiff PSC but all in all, fairly painless (other than a long wait to be processed).

Thank you! And you were right- we were definitely category A. We only submitted 6 months of financial evidence and they didn't ask for anything more!

Just a bug with the new online application.  I'm sure they'll fix it in a year or three.   ;)
