choosing appointments for consular birth thingy abroad
« on: December 11, 2016, 04:51:50 PM »
Hello, I was just wondering how flexible they are with appointments? Can I tell them what day I want to come if I do it a few months in advance? I have some family flying into London and wanted to get it out of the way when I pick them up.... thanks!

Have a look online.  I think you can only book about a month in advance (could be a bit longer).

They are good about times on the day (if late or early it's not a big deal).

Thanks, just looked at the site. Appointment booking is much more straight forward than I imagined. Guess I should have gone to the primary source before the secondary :)

We're in the process of doing this too! Remember that you have to send in your documents at least a week ahead of time (at least for the Edinburgh appointments) so keep that in mind when you book.
