New England to Old England

Happy Holidays all.  From Massachusetts but living permanently in West Midlands.  Does anyone connect and get together here? An US  Expat Moot of sorts?

Hello Witchmedow, welcome and Happy Holidays to you too!   :)

There are definitely meet ups further south if you are willing to travel a bit, not sure about your area. KFdancer should be along soon to invite you to her facebook group.  :)

Have you been here long?

I'm down near Reading unfortunately.  Are you on Facebook?  Lots of meetup groups on there.  Have a search and look for Americans in the Midlands or things along those lines (maybe your county or nearest large city).

Maybe not a moot...but how about a ting?

The expats here in Cambridge don't seem to mingle much..
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

In in South Derbyshire in the East Midlands. Haven't had a chance to meet up with anyone really. Just one friend who is more north.

I hope you're having a great Holiday so far!
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I'm a Masshole (born in MA, grew up in NH, then back to MA) too, living in Derby now!

Hiya! If you search Americans in the Midlands on Facebook (an American football is the main picture), we are a group in the West Midlands.
It's been a while, but we meet up from time to time.
I'm just north of Coventry. How about you?

Also from Massachusetts -- but now in Yorkshire.  A little too far north for you.  Hope you'll find some kindred spirits locally  :D
