Congratulations. I for one am super jealous.

Twelve working days between confirmation and decision emails (remembering the 3 bank holidays) isn't too bad, at least.

We are blessed for sure! I'm booking that one way flight. So hard to believe it's real life after being denied a visa last year. I'm not sure what to do first!

FYI It'll be cheaper to book a return flight probably--you don't have to use the return portion!

I'm booking with airline miles and then paying a whopping $5.60 in taxes.  ;)
If I had purchased a flight outright, it would have been > $1700.

I think if you do book a return flight and don't fulfill the return portion of that flight, the airline can penalize you by revoking your airline miles... I have too many miles to risk on something like that.

Whaaa. That's a great deal. Much better than booking with Avios on BA. Their frequent flyer program is a joke!

Online Visa Application Submitted: Jan 11, 2017

Still tossing and turning trying to choose priority or not. Money's tight at the moment but everyone seems keen on priority and i'm nervous not to!

Biometrics Appointment: 1/17/2017
Shipped: 1/17/2017 (Arrival should be for 1/19/2017)

Woo! Thanks for all of your help guys. It feels good to have it out of my hand. Let the waiting commence!

I'll add my timeline and update things when I get confirmation.

Details:
NON-priority
Renewal for my initial leave to remain (after being in the UK for 30 months)

2016/12/22- Mailed spousal renewal- FLR(M)
2016/12/28- Document arrival confirmation and request for biometrics (letter by post)

Trying to be patient, but still waiting to hear...

In case this applies to anyone else I'll add a bit more detail about our situation.
My partner is studying for a PhD and we applied through the non-employment income route (i.e. proof of receipt of maintenance grant). Happy to help anyone who might have questions via the same route.
2014/04/10- Approval of spousal visa
2014/04/16- Moved to UK
2016/12/22- Mailed spousal renewal- FLR(M) (non-priority)
2016/12/28- Arrival confirmation and request for biometrics
2017/02/11- FLR(M) visa approved (date on BRP card)

Will likely take about 8 weeks for the renewal.  This thread may help a bit.

I'll be eagerly watching this one, since I'm still torn between priority vs. non-priority.  Please keep us posted on your progress (and good luck!!).

Just thought I'd jump in and also add my details:

Application Type: Fiance- Priority Settlement
Application Submitted: January 4th 2017
Biometrics Appointment: January 9th 2017
Documents Shipped (Via VFS): January 16th 2017
Documents Delivered: January 18th 2017 (8:30AM local time)

Extremely anxious and trying to keep myself busy. Kind of disappointed that I still haven't received a confirmation email (2 days feels like an eternity  :-\\\\ ) I know in the past I've read plenty of people getting their confirmation the day after it arrived, but seems like the average right now is 4 days? Sigh. better find something to keep me distracted.

Is there an average processing time once you get the confirmation email? And how soon do they typically mail it back after they're done, same day or next day?

Thanks!

It seems like it's been 11 to 13 days for the people we've heard from most recently, although there haven't been too many. I had thought that it would have sped up following the Christmas rush, but it doesn't seem like it has yet... I know that at least one member whose package was confirmed as received on the 3rd still hasn't heard :-(

The wait is absolutely terrible. I'm so anxious about it and since I already stopped working all I have to do all day is get caught up on TV and obsess about where my visa is! I actually just decided to go visit my parents across the country for a few days, just to distract myself!
