I wish I had something to report, but I'm waiting (im)patiently for any news like the rest of us. I'll update this thread when I hear something!!

I will let you all know when I hear something.  It's getting depressing because our house sale closes in one week, so we're basically all packed up.  After months of having so much to do, we don't have anything to fill our days right now, except waiting for the visa.  I've taken to taking lots of naps just to pass time.

Really?! YAY!!! Thank you!!!!

do you have any recommendations for the proposed travel itinerary if I'm ready to go asap? I'm afraid if I make the itinerary too soon they might think I'm being pushy or if it's too late then I'll have to wait longer than I want to.

The date of the proposed itinerary has no bearing at all on the application... it's not a required document and is just included to show have looked at possible flights.

The only date that matters is what you list as your Intended Travel Date on the application... and as long as it is no more than 3 months ahead, they don't care.

So, for the intended travel date just put the most convenient/earliest possible date you will be physically able to travel - you will only have 30 days from that date to travel, so this is your opportunity to tell them when you want those 30 days to be (and hopefully they will honour that).

If the date has passed before the visa is issued, it will just be made valid from the date they approve it. So, if you were submitting the application today, you could put today's date (in theory) and it wouldn't matter - it will just be made valid from the date they issue it instead.

Hello Everyone!
Just a quick update on my situation! I sent an email last week with my husbands additional documents, as well as mine, and I got a response. Although I am a little worried about the response...

The response began with Dear MR. and then my name, and they said we will connect these documents to your application. I do not mean to over analyze this, but I am a little worried about being addressed as Mr. since they previously asked for me to provide additional documents about my finances rather then my husbands (sponsor). This has been a long nearly two month wait and I may just be over worrying but wanted some advice!

Thank you, and I hope everyone gets some answers soon too! This is an extremely difficult process to go through especially without your significant other by your side!

Take comfort in that:

A.  They responded
B.  They said they would match them to the application

Both of those are rather incredible!  Don't worry about the title.

Hi All-

My husband is 95% of the way through a job transfer from NJ to the Coventry area. We have 3 kids who all needed to get first-time passports. My husband needed to renew his passport.

2/7/2017 - Turned in passport applications to our local library

3/14/17 - Passports arrived 2/20/17 and should begin visa process with help from relo company next week.

Just went through this entire thread (lots of tears) So happy for those who have gone through this process and are done and anxiously waiting to hear that the rest of you are on your way.....I have some questions/need advice:

1. My fiance is coming to US April 25th until May 9th and we are getting married on May 1st. He is bringing all of the sponsor paperwork for application packet with him. Would it be too soon to apply on the 2nd?
2. Do you think it would be pushing it to send it off and expect everything back by first week in July?  without Priority?
*We are going to a festival in England 2nd week in July, so I'm nervous to mail my passport and not have it back in time to travel.
Thanks!
September 2015, met online
January 2016, met in person
July 2016, engaged
May 1, 2017 married in US
